There is a period of time late in the evening at Parliament Station when nothing happens, when the clocks fail. An endlessness of abandonment, of staleness and muzak. It is a time of existential uncertainty, of loneliness, of fear and nausea for the forgotten traveler; stuck deep underground.  Analogies for old age.
